Biography

Young, Chris Farmer never thought that he'd get anywhere in rollerblading..
Being a random kid from Minnesota, he just skated a lot and didn't really worry about much else. He had his friends and his skates, and that was enough.

Throughout his school career, Chris didn't really hang out with anyone and never cared to make any friends (that didn't skate), he just was content with being himself and doing his own thing. Luckily, the few friends he did have were really good at rollerblading so every session was a learning experience for him.

During a time when his friend Zach lived with him, he decided to make a section of Chris with footage spanning over the previous two years. Zach and a few other friends went to the first Detroit IMYTA and showed the little film to a few people. Chris' skating caught the eye of James Reetzke and he asked Zach if he could post the edit on intelligentproductions.com
Next thing you know, Chris is the talk on many message boards and James ends up coming to MN to film a section for the up and coming 1st Life+ issue.

With the buzz of that section still lingering, Chris gets a random IM from pro skater Rob Guerrero (who at that point he had never met before) saying that he was watching his section everyday before going out skating, and that he wanted to get him a pair of RB's and some 50/50 frames...

Chris is not really a competition skater and his attempt at turning ASA-Pro in Dallas didn't turn out so well. He still did end up getting hooked up with SixWonSix, he also met up with the FID tour and filmed for the next VG. Dave Paine (VG) came to MN to film a section with the French brothers but they both got hurt the first few days of filming, so about a month later Chris got an IM from Dave saying that he wanted to give him a part in VG19, which lead Chris to become part of the Mindgame team after Shane Coburn and Dustin latimer watched the video.

About a week after filming his section for Life+2, Chris Farmer headed to California for the first time (where he filmed for "US" with Brandon Negrette) and ended up staying with no other than Chris Haffey. That's when he got introduced to the whole Rollerblading industry...
